Support Services Technician

Streamline Networks is looking for a Technical Services representative.  We are a full service IT Company that services customers from many different industries.  This position requires the candidate to be able to repair, manage, and install computer and networking communication equipment. A physical ability to carry and move/transport equipment exceeding 50 lbs. is highly encouraged.  You will work with Firewalls, Switched, Routers, phone systems, Personal/Network Computers, and Servers.  The position handles onsite and remote support to customers, including installation of new equipment and repairing old equipment. 

As this position is an entry level position, we are willing to work around you schooling but you must be able to work Tuesday and Thursday 11-6.  Experienced candidates are also encouraged to apply.  The candidate must maintain a professional attitude and communicate with many different people. A clear English speaking dialect is required as you will need to communicate highly technical problems to non-technical people. A positive and upbeat personality is also required.

As we install and replace existing mission critical equipment, a qualified candidate will need to be able to work flexible hours, including the occasional nights and weekends.

You will be required to provide professional and personal references.  We will provide you with and require the completion of certifications from industry products, during the course of your employment; this will continue throughout your employment history.

A clean driving record also is required.

  • Respond to, resolve, and escalate end-user service requests from end users at several customer locations
  • Documents, tracks, and monitors issues to ensure a timely resolution
  • Work with escalation teams to resolve technical problems with end user telephony and computing equipment and software
  • Assists staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of phones,  computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines
  • Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment
  • Trains and orients users on use of hardware and software

  • Experience in Windows XP, Vista, windows 7, and all  Office applications
  • Working Knowledge of server and user administration 
  • Ability to work with user creation on Active Directory environments.
  • Strong desires to work with advanced technologies in networking and security
  • Experience with supporting remote users.
  • Knowledge of internet technologies and networking.
  • Experience with incident management and logging 
  • Must be able to demonstrate customer awareness and team skills.
  • Strong client service attitude.
  • Provide support after normal work hours when necessary.
  • Certification is a plus (A+, MCP, Avaya, HDI, ITIL)
  • Will be required to complete a selected Microsoft certification course by the end of 90 day trial period.
